The GeoUS final conference was called Energy Forum 2023 "eins meets science" due to close
cooperation with energy company EINS. Three days event included exciting impulses and workshops,
interesting and helpful discussion partners.
Energy Forum event took place by Fraunhofer Institute in Chemnitz, Germany. Staffs realized presentation stand focused on geothermal energy. Exhibits presented scientific and research results supplemented by geothermal technical part. These presentation was prepared on the basis of experinces obtained from Fraunhofer Institute and the University of Vaasa staff consultations. Exhibits were prepared for the professional, student and industrial companies public.
As part of the project, several trainee events were held. Acquaint themselves with recent state of the art in geothermal energy applications, technologies of their monitoring, optimization, etc. with a specific focus on activities of research partners and their business partners. The visiting researchers visited geothermal platforms and did so some experiments like measurements and analyses. They also visited a couple of business partners.
Energy Week event took place in Vaasa, Finland as every year. Staffs optimized and realized presentation stand focused on thermal energy and our scientific and research results. Moreover our staffs again observed presentation techniques and methods from other presenters of University Vaasa, whoes presented. We brought newest results of joint research to the professional and student public in geothermal energy area.
The last participant of the internship was Miroslav Schneider. He spent a total of three months (31. 8. 2022 – 1. 12. 2022) in Vaasa, Finland, specifically at the University of Vaasa. His supervisor at the University of Vaasa was J. Birgitta Martinkauppi.
What is energy, where does it come from and how do we humans use it? The hobby club with regular every fourteen days lessons thematically focused on individual types of energy.
Researchers’ Night of the Technical University Ostrava, an regular event after year, for one evening, again brought life to hundreds of science buildings that are commonly close for public. Visitors passed through laboratories and lecture halls, experience exploding experiments, and learnt about hot topics in depth.
Art & Science Festival event took place in Ostrava City, Czech Republic after year again. Staffs optimized and realized presentation stand focused on thermal energy and energy transfer. Exhibits presented scientific and research results in a lively and interesting way to a non-academic audience with physical principles for energies transfer again.
